K1 at Rhyd Ddu – Sound Clip

A world class loco in a world class location, this is definately not a sound recording for the purists: my home-made wind gag for the Zoomh4 proved no match for the skin burning May wind that gets channeled up the Glaslyn Pass to Rhyd Ddu and the feet of Mount Snowdon… 

That said, if I close my eyes and imagine the warmth of the Snowdonia Sun and the scarring winds then i’m right back at Rhyd Ddu.

Recorded with the ZOOMH4’s internal stereo mic (handheld) and a home made wind gag.
